Fiesta Island<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>Location<\/h4>\n

The launch site is large sand field on the west side of the island.\u00a0 When you get to Fiesta Island (directions below), drive out on the access road and bear to the right.\u00a0 Follow the road to the north (along Enchanted Cove).\u00a0 Bear left at the fork in the road, and then bear left again as you reach the west side of the island.\u00a0 Continue until you see the large sand field on your left.\u00a0 Park on the right (west) side.<\/p>\n

Parking<\/h4>\n

General parking is not permitted on the launch field.\u00a0 Per our site use permit, we are only allowed a few vehicles on the field for launch equipment, launch supplies, and disabled access.<\/p>\n

Parking is available across the road (west side) adjacent to the off-leash dog park area.\u00a0 Walk to the field (launch area) with your rockets and gear.\u00a0 Feel free to bring prep tables and beach chairs.<\/p>\n

Directions to Fiesta Island<\/h4>\n

From North County:<\/p>\n

  • Take I-5 SOUTH towards San Diego<\/li>\n
  • Take exit 21 to merge onto Sea World Dr \/ Tecolote Rd<\/li>\n
  • Turn RIGHT at E. Mission Bay Dr.<\/li>\n
  • Take the 1st LEFT onto Fiesta Island Rd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    From East County:<\/p>\n

    • Take I-8 WEST<\/li>\n
    • Take exit 2A to onto I-5 NORTH towards Los Angeles<\/li>\n
    • Take exit 21 for Sea World Dr \/ Tecolote Rd<\/li>\n
    • Turn LEFT at Sea World Dr \/ Tecolote Rd<\/li>\n
    • Take the 1st RIGHT onto E. Mission Bay Dr<\/li>\n
    • Take the 1st LEFT onto Fiesta Island Rd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      From South County:<\/p>\n

      • Take I-5 NORTH<\/li>\n
      • Take exit 21 for Sea World Dr \/ Tecolote Rd<\/li>\n
      • Turn LEFT at Sea World Dr \/ Tecolote Rd<\/li>\n
      • Take the 1st RIGHT onto E. Mission Bay Dr<\/li>\n
      • Take the 1st LEFT onto Fiesta Island Rd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Holtville<\/h2>\n

        \"\"Tripoli San Diego launches are held in Holtville, CA (slightly east of El Centro).\u00a0 The launch site is an inactive airport.\u00a0 Directions to the launch site:<\/p>\n

        • Take I-8 East towards El Centro<\/li>\n
        • Exit on State Route 111 North, towards Brawley. Travel 1.8 miles.<\/li>\n
        • Turn RIGHT on to E Holton Road (county hwy S80) – follow signs for Holtville.<\/li>\n
        • Follow S80 to 115 S\/W 5th St<\/li>\n
        • Follow a slight RIGHT on Kavanaugh Rd<\/li>\n
        • Turn LEFT on Highline Rd<\/li>\n
        • Turn RIGHT on Norrish Rd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
